Your ID card and/or passport as well as any foreign passports, as the case may be.

Child ID card

A children’s ID card / passport or birth certificate of your children.

Residence

If you wish to relocate your main place of residence to the Region of Bayreuth, and are not a citizen of a member state of the European Union (EU), of the European Economic Area (EWR) or of Switzerland, the regulations of the laws of residency are of especial importance.

In this case you will require a title of residency for your entry and stay. There are different titles of residency:
The permit of residence, the EU Blue Card, the ICT Card, the Mobile ICT Card, the permit for permanent residence – EU, the permit of settlement and the Visa.

The permit of residence, the EU Blue Card, the ICT Card, the Mobile ICT Card and the visa are each issued for a limited period. The permit of settlement and the Permit for Permanent Residence – EU are issued for an unlimited period of time.

The main difference between the settlement permit and the permit for permanent residence – EU is that the permit for permanent residence – EU includes a right to move on to another EU member state. A residence title entitles the holder to pursue gainful employment, provided this is stipulated in the Residence Act or the residence title expressly permits this.

Leaving Bayreuth – deregistration

Deregistration is not required if you move out of your home and move into a new, previously unregistered home in Germany. Through data exchange between the registration authorities, the deregistration is carried out directly by the office.

Deregistration

However, you are required to deregister if you move abroad or move into an existing flat (from your main residence to a secondary residence or vice versa) and if you move out of your previous flat without moving into a new flat. Deregistration of a main or secondary residence can only be done at the registration office responsible for the main residence.

Deregistration period

The deadline of two weeks also applies to deregistration, within which you must personally notify the registration office of your departure from Bayreuth using the prescribed form (Meldeschein). You can submit a registration form for deregistration at the earliest one week before moving out.

Please note
Deregistration of a main or secondary residence can only be done at the registration office responsible for the main residence.
