Tauritzmühle

Event for explorers

Tauritzmühle

Sunday, 14th of July 2024

Are you new to Bayreuth and want to get to know new people and the region? Then explore the beautiful nature around the Tauritzmühle with us!

On Sunday afternoon, July 14, we hike on the forest paths around the Tauritzmühle. There you can expect the relaxing forest tranquility, native plants and a beaver footbridge. Come with us far away from everyday life on a relaxing Sunday hike. We meet at 2:15 p.m. in front of the tourist information office in Bayreuth or directly at 2:50 p.m. on site. The hike will take about 2 hours. For a cozy conclusion we stop for dinner at “the mill”.

Tauritzmühle

Tauritzmühle is a district of Speichersdorf with a former mill, a hiking refuge and a rock cellar. Closely integrated into the marked hiking network of the Fichtelgebirge, it is an ideal starting and finishing point for outdoor athletes. Not to be forgotten is the unique ecological cell with rare orchid species and other endangered plant species. In addition to the water playground and the beautiful inn with beer garden, the nature trail offers a special atmosphere. On 36 boards, part of the native flora along the way is explained. With a bit of luck, the beaver family will also show up.

If you don’t have a car – no problem. We offer a free ride for 6 people. If there is more demand, we try to carpool.

We look forward to spending a relaxing Sunday afternoon with you in the Tauritzmühle.

Register now! We look forward to seeing you!
